The utility company has lost power to a primary line serving the campus and is working to restore service.\n\nWhile some buildings may have power, we do not yet know how individual buildings will be affected during the restoration process.\n\nPlease note that this outage is affecting only the Edinburg Campus.\n\nAll classes, activities and events scheduled on the Edinburg Campus before 10 a.m. are canceled.\n\nWe anticipate campus operations will resume at 10 a.m. We will provide another update at 9 a.m. based on the progress of restoration efforts.\n\nEmployees who are able to safely access their work areas should follow their normal work schedule. Employees who are unable to access their work area or whose building is affected by the outage should contact their supervisor for instructions regarding remote work, an alternate work location, or other arrangements.\n\nThank you for your patience and understanding.",
