The subject poses as a student from UCI or USC. He tells students he is interested in attending Vanguard University, claiming to be an COSTA MESA POLICE athlete (football or soccer). He often asks questions about Vanguard University, and DEPARTMENT then tries to solicit personnel information. Once blocked by the student, he changes (714) 754-5252 his profile and then tries again with other students. It is recommended students DO NOT accept his follow requests and report contacts to Campus Safety. The above subject told a student he was recently on Vanguard University property. We do not know this subject's intentions at this time; therefore, we are sending this alert in an abundance of caution.
