(714) 966-6799 (714) 556-3610 Campus Safety Website https://www.va nguard.edu/res ources/campus- public-safety AGGRAVATED ASSAULT Date / Time: October 28th, 2021 / 5:30 PM - Location: Vanguard University Campus - Heath Building - Subject: De Anda, Lombardo (6/13/96) - Vehicle: 2017 Toyota Corolla SE (Grey) 7TRN114 Details: On October 28th De Anda was in his class with fellow students. During the class De Anda became upset and physically attacked another student. At some point De Anda armed himself with a pen and indicated that he would further harm the other student. The professor intervened and the two were separated. Campus Safety was contacted and immediately responded. De Anda was detained by Campus Safety and CMPD was contacted. The other student was not harmed. COSTA MESA POLICE A Titan alert was sent out to all students regarding police activity on campus. CMPD DEPARTMENT arrested De Anda and booked him into jail. De Anda is not allowed onto Vanguard (714) 754-5252 Campus property without permission. Do not make contact with De Anda if observed. If he is seen on campus you are encouraged to contact Campus Safety immediately. This was an isolated incident with a known violator. There is no ongoing threat to the Vanguard community.
