      "verbatimText": "CAMPUS SAFETY CRIME ALERT #2022-10 Burglary Suspect/Assault on Campus Safety Officer\nEmergency Number (949) 244-0098\nDate / Time: June 27, 2022 / Approx. 11:00 AM\nLocation: Vanguard University Campus (Scott)\nSubjects: Collin Atherton (aka Collin Dobain & Cobain)\nDetails: On June 27, 2022, Campus Safety investigated a burglary in the Balboa Dorms that occurred the night prior. Video footage showed Atherton in the area at the time of the crime. The next day, Officers located Atherton on Campus and attempted to detain him. Atherton fled on foot and was lost. Knowing he was contacted near the Scott restrooms in the past, an Officer responded there. As the Officer approached the restroom, Atherton quickly exited and attacked the Officer. As Atherton fought with the Officer, Costa Mesa Police arrived and helped take him into custody. Atherton was arrested for a variety of charges including burglary. Unfortunately, Atherton was released with a court date the next day. If Atherton is seen on campus again, please contact Campus Safety immediately.
