      "verbatimText": "CAMPUS SAFETY CRIME ALERT #2022-5 SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT\nEmergency Number (949) 244-0098\nDate / Time: March 31, 2022 / 7:00 AM\nLocation: Vanguard University Campus - Student Center\nSubject: Harvey Preza (DOB: 2/13/78)\nDetails: On March 31, 2022, at 7:00 AM, Harvey Preza (above) entered the Student Center and was observed in the gym. A short time later Preza was contacted outside, and said he was attempting to register for classes. It was determined that Preza was lying about registering, and he was asked to leave Vanguard property. Preza refused to leave and made several attempts to enter the Scott building despite the building being closed. Campus Safety detained Preza after he refused to leave. While being detained Preza began yelling at staff and students that were arriving for the day. Costa Mesa Police Department was called and Preza was arrested.\nPreza told officers he was recently released from a mental institution for homicidal threats. He is currently on parole. If Preza is seen on campus, please report it immediately to Campus Safety.
