Atherton lied about his name when contacted by Campus Safety. Atherton was told he was trespassing, and he would be arrested if he returned to Vanguard University. Further investigation revealed that Atherton was previously investigated for a burglary at a Vanguard University laundry room in July of 2021. Campus Safety learned that Atherton admitted to the Vanguard University burglary, and he currently has an outstanding warrant.
