Location: Area between Strom Thurmond Institute and Watt Family Innovation Center
The Clemson University Police Department (CUPD) received a report of a robbery that occurred in the area between the Strom Thurmond Institute and the Watt Family Innovation Center. An unknown male subject approached two male students who were sitting on a bench and initiated a conversation with them. During this conversation, the unknown male subject attempted to strike one of the male students and take his property. When the male student attempted to defend himself and his personal items, he was physically assaulted by the unknown male subject. The subject stole a cellphone charger and power bank from the male student and fled the scene on foot. The male student sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by EMS and released on scene.
Suspect Description:
- White male
- Brown, curly hair, short side and back hair cut, longer on the top
- Brown eyes
- Approximately 18-21 years in age
- Last seen wearing blue jeans, a black zipper hoodie, grey interior, a grey t-shirt
