How the first alert is built

To check this alert, SuperGrok Heavy 4.5 (an AI) read it in full 25 separate times, independently. Each read decided whether the message answers each of the six questions and gave a short reason. A final reviewer then weighed all 25 and wrote the plain-English verdict you see when you open a row. The score (for example 22/25) is how many reads agreed; the 25 individual reads are tucked underneath if you want to check them.

    Final assessment

All 25 reads agree this element is present, so Location is present.

Where the threat is. Saying whether danger is in a specific building, a part of campus, or area-wide lets people judge their own proximity and choose a safe direction. Without a where, a warning is hard to act on precisely.

  • Timeabsent2/25

    Final assessment

2 of 25 reads treat 'reported' or the police response as time. 23 of 25 do not, so Time is absent.

When the message applies. A timestamp, the word now or immediately, or a phrase like until further notice tells the reader whether the danger is current and how quickly to act.

    See all 25 individual reads
    1. absent: "reported" does not give a time, date, or recency such as now or today, so time does not count.
    2. absent: Absent: No clock time, date, now, immediately, today, ongoing, or similar time marker is used.
    3. absent: The message includes no clock time, date, or words such as now, immediately, today, or ongoing.

    24. absent: Marker Reported and responding do not state when, recency, or a duration.
    25. absent: Final read. Reported and police responding do not give a listed time or recency phrase.
  • Impactabsent0/25

    Final assessment

All 25 reads agree the shooting is named without a stated consequence or severity, so Impact is absent.

What the hazard could do to the people in its path. Beyond naming the threat, a complete warning conveys its potential consequences or severity, such as that a tornado can level buildings or that a leak could be explosive, so recipients grasp how much danger they are in. Research on warning message content finds that a concrete impact statement helps people personalize their risk and act sooner.

    See all 25 individual reads
    1. absent: "Shooting" names the hazard without stating injury, death, or damage, so impact does not count.
    2. absent: Absent: A reported shooting alone does not state death, injury, danger, or property damage.
    3. absent: The message names a shooting but does not state any consequence or severity.
    4. absent: This alert names a shooting but states no injuries or extra severity beyond that hazard.
    5. absent: Because naming a shooting states the hazard without a separate consequence or severity.
    6. absent: Impact is absent because a shooting is named without injury, death, danger, or other severity.
    7. absent: Clause: A shooting is named but no injury or severity is stated.
    8. absent: I read no stated harm or severity beyond the shooting itself.
    9. absent: Counted as absent because no injury or severity is stated beyond the shooting.
    10. absent: No phrase states injury, danger, or severity, and a shooting alone is not impact.
    11. absent: The wording names a shooting but states no consequence or severity such as injuries.
    12. absent: On this reading, shooting is named with no stated harm, injury, casualties, or severity.
    13. absent: No explicit harm or severity beyond the threat name.
    14. absent: Plainly a shooting only names the hazard, with no consequence or severity stated.
    15. absent: Here Shooting names the hazard without stating injury, death, or other harm.
    16. absent: Reading it names a shooting but no explicit consequence or severity word.
    17. absent: Noted No injury, closure, or other effect or danger degree is stated beyond the shooting.
    18. absent: Judgment: The text names a shooting but states no explicit harm or severity.
    19. absent: Evidence: The notice names a shooting but declares no injury, damage, or other severity.
    20. absent: Call: No explicit severity or consequence is stated beyond the shooting report.
    21. absent: Text says no effect on people or property is stated beyond a shooting.
    22. absent: From the alert, shooting alone does not add words of harm or seriousness.
    23. absent: Seen: The text only names a shooting and does not write a consequence.
    24. absent: Marker No casualties or other harm severity is stated.
    25. absent: Final read. Only the hazard name appears, and police responding is not a stated severity.
