Analysis
Reading the policy
Bucknell University (private-r2, Pennsylvania, four filed cases, no prior policy file) publishes a live 2026 Security and Fire Safety Report PDF (HTTP 200, reporting year 2025). Any member of the Department of Public Safety is authorized to initiate an emergency notification upon confirmation. Timely Warnings are decided by the Chief of Public Safety and the Clery Compliance Officer in consultation with the Dean of Students and General Counsel, sent by email and by text to those who provided a cell number, with TIMELY WARNING in the subject line. The live emergency HTML names Rave Alert as the mass-notification vendor and BSAFE as the app. Consumer B-Alert is the campus name for that Rave path. Every excerpt was character-checked against the live PDF or HTML.
