In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 11, 2025, a non-student was shot at our Centennial Court Apartments and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. We are grateful that no Wilberforce student, faculty, staff member, or alumnus was physically harmed in the incident. Our prayers are with the individual who was injured and with their family.
In light of this incident, and out of an abundance of caution, the Centennial Homecoming Committee has adjusted the remainder of the homecoming schedule. Specifically, certain large gatherings have been moved indoors to allow for screening, and the homecoming concert has been rescheduled. Greene County Sheriff's deputies and additional private security will be present at all sanctioned events through the weekend.
